WHO IS MY CUSTOMER?
An entrepreneur needs a firm understanding of their customers and prospective customers. That is a reason why market research is so important. You don’t just create a product, and expect people to buy it, you must research the market,see what is out there, what is not out there,see what is needed, and produce things that can help your target market.
- How to define a customer?
You need to consider the following;
Gender: are your products for male , female or both
Age Group: are your products meant for babies, pregnant women, elderly, school children, and so on.
Income and Pricing: which segment of the society and you selling your products to ,the middle class, upper class or the general public.
Body type and Size: this could be considered more by fashion designers, as there is a new trend of plus size models and so on.
Competition: this is very important for the survival of your business, you need to know who your competitor is,and how you can be better than them.
