Learning how to deal with unhappy or difficult customers is a lifelong knowledge regardless of which area you are working for. Here are tips to help you put a smile on the faces of your unhappy customers.
- Put yourself in their shoes,and try to understand the reason for their angry behaviour or tone.
- Listen actively,take note,absorb and interpret your customers messages,and try to find out the main source of their anger and complaints.
- Let them speak;let them talk as much as they wish, remember that it is more about them than it is about you.
- Make promises and make sure you follow through .
